Registration No. PSY0002163907

Laura Moresi is a registered Educational and Developmental Psychologist who has experience working with children, adolescents, and their support systems in a range of private, educational and community health settings. Laura recognises the importance of strengthening the support systems around a young person and is passionate about working collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to better understand and support clients throughout the assessment and therapeutic process.

Laura is skilled in conducting comprehensive psychoeducational and developmental assessments, including assessments for learning and cognitive difficulties, autism and attention deficit and hyperactivity concerns. Through assessment, Laura aims to provide a developmentally sensitive and holistic understanding of a young person’s needs, as well as providing practical and individualised recommendations for parents and educators to feel confident in supporting these needs.

Laura further has experience working with a range of emotional and behavioural concerns. While she enjoys working with all children and celebrating their growth and development, Laura has particular experience and interest in supporting children and adolescents experiencing difficulties with anxiety, emotional regulation, grief and loss, self-esteem and relationships. Laura engages clients with her warm, playful and empathetic manner and strives to be person centred and family focused in her approach. Laura’s therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT); however, she flexibly applies a range of evidence-based practices with a focus on a young person’s unique interests and strengths to ensure individualised and effective care.

Laura is an accredited Tuning In To Kids Early Years facilitator and facilitator for the Tackle Your Feelings program, which is a mental health training program presented to community football clubs. Outside of work, Laura plays on several basketball teams, is very competitive in board games and is an avid foodie!
