Hafiza is a Provisional Psychologist who is undertaking her final year in the Master’s of Clinical Psychology. She is currently accepting referrals for new families. 

She has worked as a Child and Family Practitioner in a Placement Preservation Support Program, supporting families and children that have have suffered trauma and abuse. She strives to enhance families internal strengths and resources to meet the developmental needs of the child. She is trained in Circle of Security, the Triple P Positive Parenting Program, and    Parenting under Pressure framework. 

She has also spent time working as a youth mentor and behaviour support practitioner. She has both skills and  a natural ability with engaging young people who may be ambivalent or anxious about therapy. 

Hafiza has a particular interest in addressing issues related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, personality disorders, trauma, and developmental disorders.

She enjoys interventions targeting parenting and family dynamics and integrating personal culture within assessment and treatment.

Hafiza has a curiosity in the role of mentalisation and self-reflective capacity to be able to progress treatment outcomes for a range of presentations and works towards increasing this in her therapeutic work.

Hafiza works from a person centred, strengths-based perspective and employs a holistic approach, integrating evidence-based techniques, such as, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and has an interest in trauma informed care, attachment-based interventions and transactional analysis.
